Fire Risk Assessment Course
Fire risk assessments must be completed to satisfy the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2006 and this course has been devised for personnel responsible for completing or reviewing those assessments. The course is also of interest to managers, supervisors etc. who may have a role in monitoring fire safety within their workplaces. The legislation is applicable to a wide range of workplaces and therefore the course can either be specifically tailored to suit the needs of individual clients and their staff or it can be generic in its approach.
The course aims are:
- To provide the course delegates with an understanding of the theory of fire, its development and dangers.
- To provide the course delegates with the necessary knowledge to enable them to complete a fire risk assessment within their workplaces.
A typical input would cover the following areas:
- Theory of fire
- Introduction to fire safety legislation
- The risk assessment process
- Assessing means of escape
- Fire safety features
- Staff training
- Evacuation of disabled persons
- Hazard spotting
- Fire fighting equipment
- Risk assessment exercise
Each delegate receives a copy of the presentation and if required a risk assessment proforma.
Note
